ALEXANDRIA BUILDS A THRIVING COMMUNITY
USING THE HTC APPROACH
USING THE HTC APPROACH
HTC provides a comprehensive approach to community
development that embraces four core strategies or pillars.
HTC is also people development, focusing on one heart,
one mind, and one heart at a time. It is about specific
people who want to give back, allowing endowments
to be built. It is about specific people who through
entrepreneurship, build great businesses, spurring
economic progress. It is about specific people who stand
up and take on the responsibility of community leadership.
It is about specific young people who want a small
community lifestyle and are encouraged to realize it in
their home town.
As a result of Alexandria Community Vision’s efforts,
Alexandria was selected to be one of nine communities
to Pilot the HTC approach in Indiana. Phase I, provided
the tools, training, and community-wide data collections
to determine the goals for each Pillar or focus area.
Phase II: response from the community for Action,
is ready to begin.
ACV’s Mission will then become reality.
